Old Pulteney wins double gold on two continents #WhiskyNews

Old Pulteney’s 12 year old won gold at the San Francisco World Spirits competition in 2015, The World Whisky Awards 2016 Shortlist is now out.

OLD Pulteney is celebrating being at the top of the podium after it won gold at the 2015 World Whiskies Awards.

The Wick distillery was presented with a gold medal in the Best Scotch – Highland Single Malt Whisky category at the award ceremony in London.

Meanwhile across the Atlantic, the distillery which was founded at Huddart Street in 1826 also picked up a gold medal for its 12 year old whisky at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

It also received a silver medal for Old Pulteney Navigator at the American awards ceremony.

Commenting on the whisky’s double awards success, Margaret Mary Clarke, Senior brand manager said “To win a medal at one global spirits competition is wonderful, but to be recognised at two in the same month is quite an achievement.”
